The body of the newborn that his mother abandoned in a rubbish container in Majadahonda has been found in the municipal landfill, according to the Government Delegation in the Community of Madrid. The baby’s body was searched for since the afternoon of 31 December, after the mother, 18 years old, was arrested at a hospital in Majadahonda. The government delegate, Francisco Martín, explained at a press conference that the mother was arrested in the hospital, where she arrived showing signs of having given birth and admitted that she had disposed of the baby. At that moment, the search for the newborn began, and rubbish collection in the area was halted in an attempt to find the remains of the baby. Once found, an autopsy is expected to determine the causes of his death.
