A man has been arrested as the presumed perpetrator of the homicide of a woman in Madrid.

The National Police have arrested an individual as the perpetrator of the murder of a woman found in the Villaverde district of Madrid on 31 December. Sources from the Superior Police Headquarters reported that a Technical Police Inspection carried out by the Scientific Police allowed investigators to conclude that the man could be responsible for the victim’s death. The incident occurred around 1:15 in the morning when residents reported that a 26-year-old woman, originally from Peru, had fallen from the eleventh floor of a building on Santa Escolástica Street. Group V of the National Police began investigating the case and arrested the man in the morning of the 31st as the author of a homicide. Police sources have not specified the relationship between the parties or the motives for the homicide, keeping all hypotheses open.
