Santiago Abascal, the leader of Vox, has criticised the Government of Pedro Sánchez for its policies on immigration and housing, as well as the autonomous governments of the PP, which Vox supported. However, he has expressed his dissatisfaction, as the changes that those communities require have not been made. In a year-end video, Abascal expressed his desire to bid farewell at the end of 2025 to an era of Spanish politics that has led the nation to degeneration. After referencing the crimes and abuses under this government, he questioned Vox’s support for the PP in six regional governments and indicated that he chose to withdraw it upon realising that their leaders have not understood that the current situation requires responses. The leader of Vox has pointed out that, in opposition to the bipartisanship, they have asked the Spaniards to express themselves more forcefully at the polls so that the dissent of an increasing number of citizens can be heard. His party managed to double its electoral support in the recent elections in Extremadura, where the PP was the winner. We bid farewell to 2025. Let us say goodbye to the mafia and scams, and look forward to the new year. Happy 2026 and long live Spain!
