Moscow.- This Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude to the soldiers of the country for their work in Ukraine and stated that the «liberation» of Donbas, as well as the areas of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, is progressing in the strategy of the military operation in that nation. Putin affirmed that the liberation of Donbas, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson is being carried out according to the plan of the special military operation during a meeting with senior military commanders. The Kremlin leader declared that, after capturing the cities of Pokrovsk and Mirnograd, Russian forces are eliminating the enemy troops that have been encircled in that area and are carrying out an offensive towards the state borders. In this context, he emphasised that the expectations of taking full control of the territory of Donbas are favourable. The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, Valery Gerasimov, stated that Kiev is not carrying out offensive operations in any of the areas of the front.
