Thailand accuses Cambodia of breaking the ceasefire with the intrusion of over 250 drones.

Bangkok.- This Monday, Thailand accused Cambodia of violating the ceasefire agreement at the border by allowing the entry of more than 250 drones into its territory. This agreement was established on Saturday, following clashes that have resulted in over one hundred deaths and nearly 700,000 people displaced. The Thai Army reported that over 250 drones flying from Cambodia were identified invading Thai territory. They described these actions as a provocation and a breach of the measures designed to reduce tensions. According to the report, Thai soldiers indicated that they might be forced to reconsider the release of 18 Cambodian prisoners of war captured in June during border conflicts that resulted in the deaths of around fifty people. The claims from the Thai Army come after a trilateral meeting took place this Monday between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his counterparts from Thailand and Cambodia. Following this meeting, Beijing declared that the nations would collaborate to strengthen the ceasefire. On Saturday, the Defence leaders of Thailand and Cambodia signed a ceasefire agreement that will come into effect at the border. Both militaries committed to avoiding provocations and ensuring the return of the displaced. As of Friday, according to official sources, at least 43 civilians and 24 military personnel had lost their lives in Thailand, while in Cambodia, 31 civilian fatalities were reported, although no military casualties have been reported.
