Valencia (EFE).- The judge in charge of the criminal case related to the management of the storm has accepted the request from the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, to testify remotely on 9 January. The instructor requests that the PP leader be informed about the option to contribute to this case, within a period of 3 days, with the WhatsApp messages that are part of the conversation between him and the then president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, on 29 October 2024. The judge from Catarroja communicated this in an order that was made public this Monday, where it is indicated that Feijóo will be able to testify from his office in the Congress of Deputies. Feijóo invoked Article 412 of the Criminal Procedure Law, which allows political representatives to testify from their office or at the headquarters of the body to which they belong. In response to this request, the judge points out that other witnesses with the same privilege, such as the Government delegate in the Comunitat Valenciana, Pilar Bernabé, presented themselves to testify in person, and that they have made trips from distant places and with worse connections. However, the instructor indicates that this judge has no option but to accept the request submitted, according to the aforementioned article cited by the witness, although she reminds Feijóo that he has the alternative to present himself to testify in person on the established date (9 January, at 09:30 hours).
