Moscow (EFE). Russia demanded clarification on the situation of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, who were forcibly removed from the country due to aggression from the United States. The Foreign Ministry stated in a press release: «We demand an immediate clarification on this situation.» The statement indicated that, if what happened to the Venezuelan president is true, it represents a violation of the sovereignty of an independent nation. Moscow condemned the United States’ aggression towards Venezuela and advocated for dialogue to prevent an increase in tensions. Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez mentioned that the Venezuelan authorities have no information regarding the whereabouts of Maduro and his wife following the bombings. Rodríguez also requested confirmation from the United States that Maduro and the First Lady of Venezuela were alive.
