Five deceased due to an outbreak of H1N1 flu in a nursing home in Seville.

In Seville, five individuals have died due to an outbreak of influenza A at the elderly care home of the Hospital de la Santa Caridad, where four residents and a nurse have also been affected. According to reports from Diario de Sevilla and confirmed by sources from the Ministry of Health, five of the ten people affected by the outbreak were hospitalised, where they lost their lives. The Public Health Surveillance service has implemented the necessary protocols to prevent further infections, which has led to the suspension of activities at the care home. This includes the scheduled visit for this Saturday by the Brotherhood of Baratillo of the Three Wise Men, which has announced on its social media that the management of the institution has requested that it be cancelled. The brotherhood will deliver the gifts to the residents through the centre’s staff.
