Maduro and his wife will appear before a federal court in New York on Monday.

Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, will appear tomorrow before a federal court in New York, marking their first hearing in the United States following their arrest and transfer to the country, according to judicial sources. A representative of the Southern District Court of New York indicated that both will appear before federal judge Alvin K. Hellerstein in Manhattan at 12:00 local time. Maduro and Flores have been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. The hearing will take place following the announcement by the United States Government regarding the detention of the Venezuelan president in Caracas, in an operation that involved airstrikes on Venezuelan territory.
