Rescue groups in Indonesia have decided to extend the search efforts until Friday for the Spanish boy who remains missing following the sinking of the tourist boat he was on with his family. In this incident, three of his relatives lost their lives and two were rescued. The decision was communicated after nothing was found today, although the previous day the body of one of the children was recovered near the wreckage of the sunken boat in Komodo National Park. «On Thursday, we will focus our search efforts on the islands in the Labuan Bajo region, particularly Komodo, Padar, and Rinca,» stated Fathur Rahman, an official from the National Search and Rescue Agency (BASARNAS) and in charge of the mission, during a press conference. At the end of tomorrow’s operations, Rahman noted that the authorities will meet again to assess the results of the mission and determine the next steps to take.
