The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, stated that the United States is distancing itself from certain allies and neglecting international norms during his annual speech in Paris addressed to French ambassadors. Macron warned that great powers are exhibiting a temptation to divide the world and that multilateral organisations are functioning with lesser efficacy. He also mentioned a growing neocolonial aggression in diplomatic relations.
