The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated that American oil companies will allocate around 100 billion dollars to revitalise the oil industry in the South American country. The president explained this from the White House, after a meeting with executives from American energy companies such as Chevron, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, and Repsol. “They will use their own funds, not those of the Government, as they do not require them, but they do need our protection,” asserted the Republican, who also mentioned that Washington will offer «government security» to the companies.
