A judge asks the prosecutor if he is investigating Zapatero for his ties to Maduro.

The magistrate of the National Court, Antonio Piña, has requested the Prosecutor’s Office to express its opinion on a complaint filed by Hazte Oír against the former Prime Minister, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, for his involvement in crimes related to drug trafficking, money laundering, and belonging to a criminal organisation, in connection with his links to the former President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro. The judge of the Central Investigative Court number 6 of the National Court has decided to initiate a procedure and refer it to the prosecutor, having noted elements in the complaint against Zapatero that suggest the possible commission of a crime.
