Delcy Rodríguez, the interim president of Venezuela, has asserted that her response to the United States’ attack will take place within the realm of diplomacy, where they will meet face to face, following her Government’s announcement regarding the possibility of opening embassies in Washington. Rodríguez stated that they will present their Bolivarian diplomacy of peace to protect peace in Venezuela and that both nations are exploring ways to reopen their embassies. At a social event, the president noted that these meetings also aim to find ways to insist on what she termed an aggression from the United States towards Venezuela. This comes after the attack carried out by American forces, which resulted in fatalities and concluded with the detention of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.
Delcy Rodríguez says that diplomacy will be the setting for the «face-to-face» with the USA and is considering the opening of embassies.
