The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated that he will meet with the Venezuelan opposition leader, María Corina Machado, to discuss her role in the future of Venezuela during their meeting next week in Washington. Trump mentioned that «he needs to talk to her» and that «she could have a role.» Additionally, he commented that «he can’t think of anyone in history who deserves the Nobel Prize more than he does.» Machado stated in an interview that «she wishes to give it to him and share it with him.» However, the Nobel Institute of Norway clarified that a Nobel Prize cannot be transferred to other individuals.
