Netanyahu says that Israel and Iran will become «loyal allies» again if the regime of the ayatollahs falls.

Jerusalem. This Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel and Iran could become «allies» if the protests in Iran succeed in overthrowing the ayatollah regime. Netanyahu expressed his desire for the Persian nation to free itself from the grip of tyranny and that, when that moment arrives, Israel and Iran can become allies in creating a future of prosperity and peace. The Israeli Army reported that it is monitoring the protests in Iran, which they consider an «internal Iranian matter.» Furthermore, they stated that they are ready to defend themselves and «respond» if necessary. The Iranian parliamentary leader, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, warned that if a U.S. attack against Iran were to take place, «both the occupied territories and all military facilities, bases, and vessels» of the U.S. and Israel in the region «will be considered targets.»
