A delegation from Hamas arrives in Egypt to discuss the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

Cairo (EFE) – This Sunday, a delegation from the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, led by Khalil al-Haya, arrived in Cairo to discuss with mediators the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, according to sources familiar with the negotiations. A security source in Egypt revealed that the Egyptian authorities have extended an invitation to other Palestinian factions, including Islamic Jihad and the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Palestine. These organisations are expected to meet tomorrow to discuss «the preparations» for the second phase. A Palestinian source indicated that before the talks, there will be a meeting between representatives of the Palestinian factions and the head of Egyptian Intelligence, Hasan Rashad, in order to «coordinate positions before getting into the details of the next stage.»
