The magistrate of the National Court, José Luis Calama, has closed the investigation into the power outage that took place on the peninsula on 28 April 2025, concluding that there is no evidence to suggest it was sabotage. One day after the power cut that affected mainland Spain and Portugal, Judge Calama decided to initiate an investigation to determine whether it was an act of cyberterrorism.
