Kiev. – Russia launched 25 missiles and approximately 300 drones towards Ukrainian territory, targeting energy infrastructures. Ukrainian defences intercepted seven missiles and 240 drones. A total of 48 missiles hit 24 sites in various parts of the country. Some of the projectiles were Iskander M ballistic missiles. Ukrainian authorities reported power outages as a result of the attack in Kiev and in seven other regions. Ukraine was already rationing electricity supply with scheduled cuts of four hours. The bombardment exacerbated the situation and affected the gas supply for heating in Ukrainian homes.
