NGO claims to have confirmed the death of 1,850 people in the protests in Iran.

The non-governmental organisation Human Rights Activists (HRA) has stated that it has verified the deaths of 1,850 individuals, including 9 children, during the 17 days of protests in Iran, as well as over 16,700 arrests. The NGO HRANA condemned the use of lethal force against protesters in Iran, noting that the national internet shutdown is being used to cover up human rights violations and hinder accountability. HRA is also examining an additional 770 deaths related to repression by state forces and claims that these figures could be higher, considering the internet outages and disruptions in communication.
