The Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, has informed the autonomous communities that adherence to the new funding model will be optional. According to sources from the Ministry of Finance, Montero has informed representatives of the communities participating in the Council of Fiscal and Financial Policy, where the funding proposal presented by the central government will be discussed.
