The Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, will present before the full Congress to inform on Spain’s stance regarding the situation in Venezuela, following the United States operation that resulted in the capture of Nicolás Maduro. Albares will attend the first plenary session of the year, called extraordinarily, as January is a month in which parliamentary activities are not conducted. The head of Spanish diplomacy requested this appearance, just as Sumar, ERC, EH Bildu, Podemos, BNG, and Compromís did. The Popular Party considers it inappropriate, as they wish for the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, to be the one to present.
