Kiev.- This Friday, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced that a group of negotiators from Kiev is heading to the United States. This is to advance negotiations on an economic agreement with the United States government regarding the reconstruction of Ukraine, which could be signed at the Davos Forum next week in Switzerland. «If everything is concluded and the American side agrees, it is likely that it will be signed during the Davos Forum,» commented Zelensky at a joint press conference in Kiev with Czech President Petr Pavel, according to reports from the Ukrainian public news agency, Ukrinform. Earlier this month, Kiev reported that it is working alongside the United States, the European Union, and other G7 members on a ‘Plan for Economic Prosperity’, which would enable Ukraine to mobilise up to 800 billion dollars for the reconstruction of the country once the war is over. «We hope to have a better understanding of the documents we have drawn up alongside the American side and of Russia’s reaction to the diplomatic effort that has been made and continues to be ongoing,» said Zelensky.
Zelensky sends negotiators to the USA and hopes to finalise an economic agreement in Davos.
