Yoweri Museveni, President of Uganda since 1986, has a lead in the vote tally of Thursday’s elections, where he is vying for a seventh term, according to results released by the Electoral Commission. Museveni, leader of the National Resistance Movement, has received over 3.9 million votes after counting 44.9% of the polling stations.
