Indonesia is searching for a plane that «lost contact» in the centre-east of the country.

The authorities in Indonesia have initiated the search for a plane from Indonesia Air Transport that «lost communication» on Saturday in the province of South Sulawesi, with 10 people on board. The ATR 42-500 aircraft took off from Yogyakarta and was destined for Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport in Makassar. Communication with the aircraft was lost, according to the Directorate General of Air Transport of Indonesia. On board were 7 crew members and 3 passengers. A search operation has been organised using helicopters from the Indonesian Air Force, in collaboration with Basarnas.
