The EU countries will meet this Sunday following Trump’s tariffs on Greenland.

Brussels. This Sunday, the ambassadors of the countries of the European Union will hold a meeting following the announcement by United States President Donald Trump regarding the imposition of tariffs on European nations that sent troops to Greenland and do not support his proposal to annex the island. A representative from the Cypriot presidency of the EU Council confirmed this and added that the meeting will take place this afternoon. Yesterday, Trump stated that starting from 1 February, a 10% tariff will be implemented on all products coming from eight European countries that have sent troops to Greenland. Furthermore, he mentioned that in June, the tariffs will increase to 25% and will remain in effect until an agreement is reached for the purchase of Greenland by the United States.
