According to these polls, Seguro would be the candidate receiving the most votes in the first round, followed by Ventura. A survey conducted by the Catholic University for the public broadcaster of Portugal, RTP, indicates that Seguro could receive between 30% and 35% of the votes, compared to Ventura, who would receive between 20% and 24%. For his part, liberal MEP Joao Cotrim de Figueiredo would achieve between 17% and 21%. According to CNN Portugal, Seguro is expected to obtain between 30.8% and 35.2% of the votes, Ventura between 19.9% and 24.1%, and Cotrim de Figueiredo between 16.3% and 20.1%. According to SIC Notícias, the statistics indicate that the former socialist minister has support varying between 30.8% and 35.2%; the far-right leader has backing between 19.9% and 24.1%; and the liberal MEP stands between 16.3% and 20.1%. These presidential elections in Portugal have had the highest number of candidates, totalling eleven. According to the polls, reserve Admiral Henrique Gouveia e Melo, former conservative minister Luís Marques Mendes, backed by the Social Democratic Party (PSD), and MEP Catarina Martins are positioned lower than the top five.
