Madrid, (EFE).- The Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, has stated that the investigation must clarify whether the breakage of a segment of the track found at the site of the train accident is «the cause or the result» of the derailment of the Iryo train that led to the collision with the Alvia train. The Minister of Transport has declared that «at this moment, establishing that there is a welding problem is impracticable.» He mentioned this during one of the live interviews he has scheduled for the evening of Monday, where he will provide details about the accident that has resulted in the death of 40 people.
