Antonio Sanz, the Health Councillor of Andalucía, has declared that emergency teams are operating in the area where two high-speed trains have derailed. He has stated that the number of victims is 21 and could rise. Sanz has mentioned that the President of the Junta de Andalucía, Juan Manuel Moreno, is present in the region and has indicated that he prefers to be cautious. At this moment, emergency teams are working to rescue people trapped in the trains, one of which has slid down a four-metre slope. Several carriages have fallen into an embankment adjacent to the track, and the Councillor has noted that this is a complex situation.
