Madrid (EFE).- The head of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, has described the railway accident in Adamuz (Córdoba) as «rare and complicated to understand,» given that the Iryo train involved in the incident is recent and the infrastructure has been modernised. In a press conference at Atocha station, the minister stated that he has no information regarding the reasons for the derailment of the Iryo train, which collided with a Renfe Alvia and has resulted in the deaths of 21 people. The Minister of Transport has reported that all individuals who suffered injuries and required medical attention in hospitals following the derailment of the two trains in Córdoba have already been taken to health centres.
