Spain strengthens ties with India at a time when Europe needs «other partners.»

Commercial interactions between Spain and India, in the fields of defence and collaboration on global issues, have been the focus of conversations held by the Spanish Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, this Wednesday in New Delhi, at a time when Europe is seeking new allies. After meeting with his counterpart, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and with the President of the Republic, Draupadi Murmu, Albares emphasised that both countries share a respect for a world order based on international norms, at a time when the United States is diminishing its support for international organisations. Similarly, Jaishankar highlighted that India and Spain have in common an appreciation for multilateralism.
