Madrid. Adif, the entity responsible for railway infrastructure, does not rule out the possibility of a manufacturing defect in the rail. It will proceed to identify all batches of the same segment of track where the Iryo derailment occurred in Adamuz, Córdoba, and there will be an examination of the entire batch of steel. This was stated by the president of Adif, Pedro Marco de la Peña, who mentioned that he has received instructions from the Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, to review those batches, as they have traceability of the data.
