The Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, believes that the existence of a provisional hypothesis regarding the railway accident on Sunday suggests it might have occurred due to a break in the tracks as the Iryo passed through Adamuz. In a press conference, Puente stated that the initial conclusions of the Railway Accident Investigation Committee (CIAF) shed light on the theory that experts consider most likely, although they are not yet definitive.
