Traffic restrictions due to the weather conditions in the northern area are beginning to cause shortages in supermarkets.

The supermarket association Asedas has warned that the traffic restrictions imposed by the DGT are causing a shortage of products in supermarkets due to the suspension of truck traffic in the northern plateau, according to sources from the organisation. Starting tonight, the DGT has restricted the passage of vehicles carrying more than 7,500 kilograms on certain stretches of road, in order to ensure safety and facilitate the transit of emergency vehicles. More than 15 high-capacity routes could be affected by bad weather, as well as local and regional roads.
