The Rodalies service in Catalonia will remain suspended on Sunday.

Barcelona, (EFE).- Sílvia Paneque, the Minister of Territory of the Catalan Government, has announced that the Rodalies service will remain suspended tomorrow, Sunday, to carry out works on the tracks that ensure the resumption of its operation. This Saturday, Paneque addressed the media following a follow-up meeting on the railway crisis. This meeting took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Territory of the Generalitat and included the participation of representatives from the Catalan Government, Renfe, and Adif, as well as the presence of the Secretary of State for Transport, José Antonio Santano. The Minister stated that efforts are being made to ensure the functionality and reliability of this commuter train network, although she has not confirmed that the service can resume on Monday. She also mentioned that, depending on how events unfold tomorrow, Sunday, information will be provided on how and when operations can restart. Paneque has reported that the number of technical teams from Adif responsible for inspecting the condition of the tracks has increased from 9 to 12. Additionally, interventions have taken place in two critical locations: the R1 in Badalona and the R2 South in Garraf.
