Barcelona, (EFE).- The managing entity Adif and the company Renfe have halted the operation of Rodalies and regional trains at the request of the Government of Catalonia, which has asked for the service not to resume until they can ensure the safety of travellers and a minimum level of normality. The service is suspended. The trains that are currently in operation will complete their journey at the destination station. Rodalies de Catalunya has expressed its apologies following another day in the railway network of Catalonia. Additionally, at the Barcelona Sants station, Adif has restricted access to the platforms of the Rodalies and medium-distance services. This Saturday, the Rodalies service began to operate partially and with interruptions while assessing the condition of the infrastructure at 21 points on the network to prevent landslides. The R4 line of Rodalies in Catalonia experienced another landslide this Saturday, between Cerdanyola del Vallès and Sabadell sur, in the province of Barcelona. Renfe operated this service early in the morning after the government announced overnight that regional and commuter trains would be suspended on Saturday, marking the third time this week.
