Barcelona. This Saturday, the Rodalies service in Catalonia will be suspended, as Renfe and Adif have informed the Government of their inability to manage the network, according to the Ministry of Territory of the Generalitat. The decision was reached after a meeting in the Ministry of Territory. This meeting included the ministers of Presidency, Territory and Interior, as well as representatives from Renfe, Adif, Civil Protection, the Catalan Traffic Service, the Mossos d’Esquadra and the Cartographic Institute, with the aim of addressing the Rodalies crisis. After three in the morning, the Ministry of Territory announced that Catalonia would be without the Rodalies service starting this Saturday, as had occurred on Wednesday and Thursday due to the accident in Gelida. The Government has informed that Renfe and Adif have indicated that they cannot carry out the usual Rodalies and freight train service across the entire railway network. Alternative road services will be maintained to ensure passenger mobility. Those present at the meeting agreed to reconvene this Saturday at nine in the morning at the Ministry of Territory to find solutions to facilitate the resumption of the service.
The Rodalies service will once again be suspended this Saturday throughout Catalonia.
