Barcelona, this Sunday, Pere Macias, the Commissioner of the Generalitat of Catalonia responsible for the transfer of Rodalies, stated that it is the responsibility of Adif to certify the state of the commuter rail network; safety cannot be guaranteed. In an interview with RAC1, Macias indicated that before the accident in Gelida and the rains, the Rodalies network was already «reduced,» not operating at 100% due to the improvement and maintenance works that were being carried out, following 18 years of lack of investment.
