The Popular Party has changed its approach and demands the resignation of the Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, or his dismissal by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez. This declaration was made by the General Secretary of the PP, Miguel Tellado, who indicated that the change was due to an article in El Mundo, which states that the location of the derailment of the Iryo train is a connection point between new material and tracks that have not been renewed since 1989. Puente has maintained that the road where the accident occurred is a renovated road and that it has undergone inspections in recent months. According to Tellado, the information from the newspaper proves that Puente has lied to the Spanish people and has provided false data.
The PP demands the immediate resignation of Minister Óscar Puente for «lying» about the Adamuz accident.
