The storm has passed, but the country remains on alert, now for flooding and maximum river flows.

The storm caused by the depression Kristin is diminishing, but rain is expected to continue in the coming days. Galicia will be under red alert due to waves exceeding 9 metres, while attention is focused on the risk of flooding and river and riverbed overflow. In the Tagus basin, two monitoring stations have reached the red alert threshold, while six reservoirs of the Tagus Hydrographic Confederation are releasing water considerably, and another is doing so at unusual levels due to the storm Kristin. The Ministry for Ecological Transition has issued a statement regarding the current situation of hydrological warnings in the Tagus basin and the episodes of water release from the dams. In the province of Cáceres, the number of stations exceeding the red alert threshold has decreased from 6 to 2 since the last report. The red level indicates hydrological conditions with a high probability of flooding in populated areas and disruptions in key communication routes.
