The Israeli Army will control the entry to Gaza through Rafah, according to Egyptian security.

This Saturday, sources from Egypt’s security service reported that access for individuals to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing will be under Israeli military control, which will establish checkpoints for those crossing the border. According to the source, who wished to remain anonymous, Israel will also control the exit of Palestinians from the Strip and the activities at the checkpoint, with Israeli security personnel positioned in an operations room that will monitor the barrier leading to Egypt. Furthermore, all individuals wishing to enter or exit the Gaza Strip will need to obtain a permit from Egypt, which will send the names for security verification to Israel’s internal security service, known as Shin Bet. Those leaving the Strip will not be subjected to Israeli security checks but will be under the supervision of a delegation from the European Union mission and Palestinian officials from Gaza.
