Antonio Hernando, an official from the PSOE, has acknowledged his participation in a meeting in 2024 alongside the former party leader Santos Cerdán, other PSOE members, and former activist Leire Díez. During this meeting, Leire Díez mentioned that she possessed documents related to an investigation by the «patriotic police» concerning Pedro Sánchez in 2017. Hernando testified for more than an hour on Monday before the judge conducting the investigation into Leire Díez, who faces accusations of bribery and influence peddling for actions against prosecutors and senior officials of the UCO to obstruct investigations.
