Iran has summoned all ambassadors of European nations in its territory due to the European Union’s decision to classify the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organisation, in response to the suppression of protests. «From yesterday to today, all European countries and EU member states with embassies in Tehran were called to the Foreign Ministry, where they were formally informed of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s protest in writing,» stated Ismail Baghaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, at a press conference. The diplomat noted that Tehran is assessing «a range of actions» and «retaliatory measures» in response to the EU’s decision.
