Iran says it expects to finalise a «framework» for negotiations with the US in the coming days.

Tehran (EFE) – On Monday, Iran announced that it expects to complete a «framework» for negotiations with the United States in the coming days, which has renewed its warnings towards the Persian nation if it does not agree to reach a nuclear deal. «We are reviewing and making decisions about a diplomatic process that we trust will be fruitful in the future,» said Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Ismail Baghaei, during a press conference. The diplomat mentioned that they hope to provide information about these possible negotiations «in the coming days.» Baghaei stated that «the nations in the region are acting as intermediaries to communicate messages.» The Iranian agencies Tasnim and Fars reported that negotiations will begin in the coming days, following approval from the Iranian government. «Neither the location nor the date of this meeting has been determined, and it is likely that the discussions will take place between Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abas Araqchi, and the special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff,» noted the Tasnim agency. The Fars agency reported that the President of Iran, Masud Pezeshkian, «has given the order to commence negotiations.»
