Adif agrees to eliminate the last service of the Madrid-Barcelona route and extend the journey by 25 minutes.

Madrid (EFE).- This Tuesday, Adif announced that it has reached an agreement with the operating companies to eliminate the last trains running daily on the rail corridor between Madrid and Barcelona, as well as to extend travel times by approximately 25 minutes. Adif has indicated that these new schedules will come into effect from Thursday the 5th, and that these measures will facilitate maintenance teams in carrying out conservation work on the infrastructure during times without commercial service trains. This agreement was established a day after Adif requested that the railway companies cancel the last journeys of the day, as those trains were arriving during the time allocated for maintenance. With this agreement, Adif highlights that the travel times for all other routes in that corridor will be extended by approximately 25 minutes.
