The Government has split the omnibus decree and approved two decrees this Tuesday: one addressing the re-evaluation of pensions and Social Security measures, and another relating to the social shield, which includes the suspension of evictions, according to government sources. Sumar has indicated that the PP can no longer justify its refusal to approve pensions, and the rest of Congress will need to determine whether to support social measures that protect the vulnerable, which have been in place since the pandemic. After the PP, Vox, and Junts rejected the omnibus decree, it has been decided to approve a decree that increases pensions and other related Social Security measures. Additionally, another decree will be implemented that will include aid for flood victims and those affected by fires, improvements in pensions for firefighters, and the prohibition of evicting up to 60,000 families in vulnerable situations and cutting off their basic services.
