Beijing (EFE).- This Wednesday, Chinese President Xi Jinping held a videoconference with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, according to the Chinese state agency Xinhua. Putin and Xi discussed cooperation between their nations in a videoconference just before the conclusion of the START III, the nuclear disarmament agreement currently in force between Russia and the United States. Putin stated that Moscow is ready to maintain cooperation on global and regional issues where the Russian-Chinese alliance plays a role. He emphasised that trade transactions have again surpassed 200 billion dollars in 2025 and that Russia continues to be the largest exporter of hydrocarbons to the Asian country.
