Félix Bolaños, the Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes, described the statements made by Isabel Perelló, President of the General Council of the Judiciary, as a «political speech» following her warning about «direct external pressures» and «indirect methods of influence» over judges. In a press conference, Bolaños expressed his respect for «the political speeches that are presented» when questioned about Perelló’s criticisms in Barcelona, during the ceremony for the handover of positions to the members of the judge promotion, an event presided over by King Felipe VI.
