Málaga (EFE).- This Thursday, the Civil Guard is searching for a woman who fell into a river in Sayalonga (Málaga) on Wednesday afternoon during the storm. The alert was raised by another woman who was walking with her and notified the authorities that her companion fell into the Turvilla river while trying to save her dog. The animal returned shortly afterwards, but the woman has not been found and search efforts are underway both upstream and downstream. In Granada, 120 people from Dúdar were evacuated due to rising levels of the Aguas Blancas river and the release of water from the Quéntar reservoir. The community had been cut off, and after a rural road was reopened, residents were transported to the city of Granada by emergency services. The Granada City Council has extended emergency measures until this Thursday, which include the closure of parks, the cancellation of activities in educational, sports, and municipal management centres, as well as monitoring of the rivers. The monumental complex of the Alhambra and the Generalife will also remain closed. In the province of Seville, 76 residents of Écija were evacuated from their homes in the early hours due to the risk of flooding from the potential overflow of the Genil river.
