Storm Leonado: Evacuations in Granada and Badajoz and a woman missing in Málaga.

This Thursday, the Civil Guard is searching for a woman who fell into a river in Sayalonga (Málaga) on Wednesday afternoon during a storm. The alert was raised by another woman who was walking with her and notified the authorities that her companion fell into the Turvilla River while trying to save her dog. The animal appeared shortly afterwards, but the woman has not been found and efforts are ongoing in the area, both upstream and downstream. In Granada, 120 people from Dúdar were evacuated due to the rising levels of the Aguas Blancas River and the release of water from the Quéntar reservoir. The community had been cut off, and after a rural path was opened, residents were transferred to the city of Granada by emergency services. The Granada City Council has extended emergency measures, which include the closure of parks and the cancellation of activities at educational and sports centres, as well as monitoring of the rivers. The monumental complex of the Alhambra and the Generalife will not be accessible due to strong winds.
